5 Year Guarantee
Our 5 Year Guarantee comprises:
An Initial 1 year Manufacturer’s Guarantee on the entire blind
This means if your blind becomes faulty or defective within a year of ordering it the manufacturer will repair or replace this blind for you free of charge.
A further 4 year extended guarantee for component parts only, provided by Concept Blinds Direct
This means if a component part of your blind fails we can look at supplying a new component part free of charge. Components are the parts of the blind that aid the function or installation of the blind such as brackets, tabs, control mechanisms, hangers, stabilising chain, fabric weights, controls chains.
Conditions and exclusions are detailed as follows:
Proof of purchase will be required together with full details of the nature of the defect, plus photographic evidence when requested
The guarantee commences from date of original order.
The guarantee is non-transferable i.e. limited to original purchaser of the product
Concept Blinds Direct cannot be responsible for taking down or re-installing a defective blind or component.
If, within your 4 year component guarantee period, a particular component part is discontinued by a supplier or manufacturer and we run out of remaining stock we will try to supply an alternative but similar component. In the unlikely event this is not possible then we will look to offer a discount on an order of a new blind from the same range. Please note component parts do not include the main constituent parts of the blind such as slats, fabric or headrails. Components are the parts of the blind that aid the function or installation of the blind such as brackets, tabs, control mechanisms, hangers, stabilising chain, fabric weights, controls chains.
This 5 year guarantee is null and void if the damage or failure was as a result of:
- Accidental Damage by customer
- Failure to follow installation guidance
- Product Misuse or incorrect care of product
- Alteration of product
- Installation in a non-domestic or commercial environment where fair use issues apply such as a hotel
- Damage caused by exposure to elements or extreme dampness or temperature variation
- Incorrect measurements supplied
- Normal wear and tear
- Frayed or broken cords
With Real Wood Blinds variations in grain, colour and texture are an inherent feature and shall not be deemed as faults or reason for return or replacement. Such variations will occur within different slats of the same blind.
Wood Blinds can be subject to warping. This is a particular risk when exposed to high humidity and large temperature variations. We kiln dry all our wood products to reduce the risk of warping. Warping is not covered by the Manufacturers Guarantee due to the fact they cannot confirm the environment the blind has been installed within. However in the rare event you do experience this issue do contact us and we will look into it and deal with it at our discretion on a case by case basis. (Please note real wood products should not be installed in a kitchen or bather. Neither real wood or Faux Wood Blinds should be used Conservatories or any area of extreme temperature variation such as above a storage heater).
With all fabrics blinds, fading can occur over long periods of time (although we do pick fabrics that are made to be as resistant to this as possible). Fading will not be deemed as a fault under this guarantee.
