Terms & Conditions

In these terms:-

"Goods" means the blinds, window furnishings or other products manufactured or supplied by Concept Blinds Direct and the subject of the order made by You.

"You" and "Your" means the person ordering Goods from Concept Blinds Direct

"Concept Blinds Direct" or "We" or "Us" or "Our" means Concept Blinds Direct.

  1. Our Contract

1.1 Our site invites you to buy goods from us. A legally binding contract with you will only arise once Concept Blinds Direct has received payment for the goods in full from you.

1.2 We shall notify you of acceptance of your order by e-mail to the e-mail address supplied by you on your order. We ask you at that point to carefully check your order confirmation to ensure that all details on the order are correct. If you do not receive an order confirmation within 20 minutes of paying for your order please contact us immediately by email at  and we will email an additional copy of your order to you. (Check your Junk folder first).

1.3 We cannot accept orders placed by persons located outside of the United Kingdom or for delivery to a non UK address.

1.4 All orders need to be made via our website. We cannot take orders via email or telephone.

  1. Price

2.1 The price for any goods ordered by you will be the price shown at checkout at the time you place your order and will include all taxes applicable.

2.2 Currently there is a set delivery charge for orders delivered to UK mainland locations. Any additional parts ordered at later date may be subject to additional delivery charges. If your address is non-mainland UK and there is an additional delivery charge payable we will notify you before your order is accepted by us and ask you to confirm that you wish to pay the additional amount and proceed with the order.

2.3 We will debit the price of your whole order from your debit/credit card when we receive your order.

2.4 Promotion Codes where applicable must be used at the time of order and cannot be applied or redeemed retrospectively.


  1. Right for You to Cancel Your Contract

3.1 We only supply bespoke goods. Therefore, if you do you do wish to change or cancel your order we regret you will not be able to do so once the order has entered the manufacturing process. At that point labour and materials will have already been consumed and any goods that have been produced cannot then be resold nor the materials reused.

If you find upon inspection of your Order Confirmation email you have made an error in your order email us at  with your order number and marking your email as “Urgent” to let us know. We will then do our best to stop this order entering production. If the manufacturing process has already commenced no cancellation or amendments will be possible.

3.2 If you order is impacted by a stock issue then you can amend to another fabric/ colour or cancel your order and receive a full refund.

3.3 If your order arrives damaged or faulty, we can either repair/replace these goods or cancel your order for you. In the event you opt for cancellation we would need to arrange for collection of the goods prior to a refund being made. We would pay for this collection. We would refund you for the cost of the goods after the goods have been inspected and the fault/damage confirmed. If the returned goods are found not be damaged or faulty we would not be able to refund you and the goods would be then be returned to you. We may require you to pay for the goods to be re-delivered back to you.

3.4 No goods may be returned to us without our knowledge or consent. Customers returning goods without our knowledge shall accept full responsibility for the loss or damage of such goods whilst in transit, the cost of transit, and any associated cost for the re-delivery of goods back to the customer.


  1. Cancellation by Us

4.1 We reserve the right to cancel your order if:

- We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered

- You require delivery outside the United Kingdom

- The goods ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information made by us and/or received by us from our suppliers.

- You abuse or harass (verbally or via email) any member of our staff

4.2 If we do cancel your order we will notify you by e-mail and will refund within 14 working days of notification of the cancellation. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.


  1. Stock Shortages

5.1 If the goods you order are unavailable due to a stock shortage we will notify you as soon as possible and offer suitable replacements.

5.2 If you do not want to amend you order to the offered alternatives we can cancel your order and supply you with a full refund.

5.3 If you wish to wait for the material / colour to come back into stock we will not refund you but will instead manufacture your order when the stock arrives in.

5.4 In the event that a fabric or colour is discontinued by the supplier we will offer you the option to either change your order to a suitable alternative or to cancel your order and receive a full refund.


  1. Product Descriptions

6.1 The product information and photographs contained within our website are provided for basic guidance and illustrative purposes only.

6.2 We strongly advise all customers to obtain a free sample prior to placing an order. If after viewing your sample you are in any doubt as to the precise nature or finish of any of our products please contact us for further information.

6.3 Whilst every attempt will be made by us to ensure that the goods sold and delivered match in every respect any sample or description, any minor or immaterial variation between the sample or description and goods delivered shall not entitle you to reject the goods nor to claim any compensation for such variation. For example;

- due to the print design of some pattern fabrics it is not guaranteed the samples will reflect the full range of colours in the pattern or the full pattern design.

- in the case of all Venetian blind ranges some slat colours require co-ordinating head/base rails, tapes or cords. These will complement the slatting colour and should not detract from the overall appearance of the product.

- wood venetian slatting will have some colour variation from batch to batch due to the inherent properties of this natural material.

6.4 Over long periods of time slight differences in colour will occur between different batches of material. Such differences shall not constitute grounds for a customer to refuse or return products. We advise customers to order multiple blinds to be installed in the same room or window at the same time to ensure they are cut from the same batch of material and will colour match.


  1. Measurement

7.1 Your order is manufactured according to the measurements you provide. Read our measuring instructions and contact us before ordering if you require any guidance.

7.2 We cannot accept the return of goods by reason of the measurements you supplied were incorrect.

7.3 We operate to a standard manufacturer’s tolerances of plus or minus 5mm.


  1. Delivery

8.1 We will deliver to the address you have provided, and it is your responsibility to accept delivery or supply leave safe instructions. We can deliver to an alternative address to your billing/home address to aid a successful delivery.

8.2 We normally aim to dispatch goods within 21 working days of your order.

8.3 Concept Blinds Direct cannot be held responsible for late deliveries or any associated costs due to a delivery delay. Will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of our supply or failure to supply the goods to you.

8.4 We never advise customer to take a day off work to accept a delivery as we are unable to guarantee delivery on a specific date.

8.5 Customers are advised not to book a fitter until their goods have been received in full and have been inspected for damaged and the contents checked for all necessary components needed for the installation.

8.6 If items from different ranges are ordered together we may deliver the goods in instalments, but only one delivery fee will be charged.

8.7 All deliveries are fully insured. We need to be notified of any loss or damage from transit within 7 working days to qualify for a free replacement. If we remake a lost or damaged product we can only remake the original product at the original specifications.


  1. Defective Goods and our Guarantee

9.1 Concept Blinds Direct offers a five year guarantee on all goods. This is a one year guarantee on the entire blind and a further four years for replacement components only. See our Five Year Guarantee page for further details.

9.2 Should your goods arrive with a defect we must be notified to us within 7 days of receipt of the goods.

9.3 If your goods become defective within 12 months of purchase we will do one of the following

 - supply a free replacement blind

- supply a free component to allow you to make a simple repair to correct the fault

- collect the blind to undertake a more complex repair and then return the item to you for free.

9.4 No alternative product may be substituted for a defective product. We can only remake the original product at the original specifications.

9.5 If the blinds have been modified, misused, installed incorrectly, been subject to natural wear and tear or negligence then free repairs or replacements will not be covered under our guarantee.

9.6 There are some exceptions to our guarantee as outlined below;

 - real wood products may have minor imperfections which occur naturally within timber and are not a defect.

- Warping can occur with wood products and is a risk of using a natural material. We kiln dry all of our wood slatting which greatly reduces this risk so you can purchase with confidence.

 - Fading or bleaching of any of our products may occur when exposed to strong, natural light over a period of time and does not constitute a defect and is not covered under our guarantee.

- some blind types are not suitable for installation in certain rooms. This information will be supplied next to the product. If you install your blind in a room that is unsuitable for that blind type then you will not be covered under our guarantee.


  1. Privacy & Cookies

10.1 We use cookies to assist you to access the features and navigate easily on our website. We do not obtain personal data from your computer to share with third parties or for marketing purposes. You may choose to disallow "cookies" via your browser but this website may not work as well as a result and you might not be able to access certain features.

10.2 When you supply personal information to us we only use this information to make and deliver your order or to enable you to use features such as saving favourite items or saving your basket if you are not ready to check out yet. We never sell your personal information or share your personal information with other parties that are not involved in the manufacture or delivery of your order.


  1. Copywrite

Our Website has been designed by our own Web Development Team and all the content thereof are subject to Copywrite Law. Any person(s) or company who downloads and uses any part of our Website without authorisation will be subject to legal proceedings.


  1. Child Safety

Regulations have been introduced to reduce the strangulation risk to small children posed by blind cords. We supply child safety devices with all our blinds and aim to manufacture cords to hang at least 150cm from the floor. Whilst we do our best to ensure all blinds we manufacture have these child safety features it is up to the person installing the blinds to:

- fit the child safety devices correctly

- to check that the bottom of any cords at are least 150cm away from the floor

If child safety devices have not been supplied or the cords are hanging too low once the blinds are installed please contact us for assistance.

  1. Governing Law

This contract is subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
